This book contains all of the important information that I normally got off of Smoking Meat Forum (that I am a part of) and I can take it with me when I camp away from internet connections. I love it and would say "BUY IT" to any one who asks if it is any good.
The intro itself is worth buying this book. In the digital age, where you can essentially look anything up on Google, it was nice to be able to find all the necessary information related to Jeff's love of BBQ, smoker varieties, wood types, and common techniques all in one place. I definitely enjoyed reading this on my back porch while puffing on a stogie, compared to searching through results from Google for the same information. This book is a nice starting piece if you're looking to get into Smoking your own food.
Have been getting the weekly recipes for a couple of years and been printing them out. The book is even better because of the in depth info nothing is left for guess work. I always spring one of the awesome ones at parties!
